So Adam Russell has worn me down to the point at which i have agreed to enter the Bristol Rat Race with him and Nicole. The Rat Race is a 2 day running jumping climbing trees type competition http://www.ratraceadventure.com/ it looks like a lot of exercise to me so i am going to actually train for it in the hope that i will not be embarrassed in front of 100's of people by Nicole having to give me a piggy back across the finish line.
The race involves mainly running and cycling. Cycling i am fairly happy with, although i will have to actually get some practice in but running has never been for me. The main reason i don't run is because if i go out on a run i just run until i am horribly broken and then i don't want to try it again for another year or so. To combat this i have found a very easy looking introduction to running programme and i intend to follow it to the letter, including stretching and everything!

Hey, good blog idea! [Nice title, Ian ;-)] Looks like a good running programme as well - should build both speed and endurance. Might give it a go myself - not much running in my current fitness routine, so will have to step it up a bit :-) I will defo be needing some practice, both at the running and the cycling - need you boys to push me on the trails so I can handle the more technical stuff...
